Dr. Yang Zhi Xiang

Dr. Yang Zhixiang is one of China’s most senior and decorated hair transplant physicians. As one of the earliest doctors in China to develop plastic and cosmetic surgery, he pioneered scarless autologous hair transplant technology in China — a technique now performed in over 50,000 cases across Bioscen’s 42+ clinics. He has personally completed 10,000–18,000 hair transplant cases over 30+ years, including 300+ complex scar repair cases. He studied in Russia and Germany (no-trace transplant technology) and conducted multiple academic research visits to Japan. He has trained Korean hair transplant physicians in BHT technique, earning the title Technical Mentor. His academic output includes 60+ peer-reviewed papers, 11 co-authored medical textbooks, and principal investigator on 8 national/provincial research projects. He became an ISHRS member in 2010 and holds a State Council Special Government Allowance — China’s highest recognition for top technical experts. Bioscen under his leadership was the only Chinese chain hair transplant institution to present on the ISHRS 2025 main stage.
