Preparation
- Stop retinoids (tretinoin, retinol) 7 days before each session
- Start antiviral prophylaxis (valacyclovir 500 mg BD) 2 days before if treatment extends to the perioral area or if you have a history of cold sores

- No anti-coagulants 5 days before
