Dr. Geum Ji-Eun

Dr. Geum Ji-Eun is the Hospital Director and Chief Ophthalmologist at Bright St. Mary’s Eye Center; Gangnam Clinic; one of Korea’s premier laser vision correction and comprehensive ophthalmology institutions. She completed her ophthalmology residency training at Shinchon Severance Hospital — one of Korea’s most prestigious medical institutions — and subsequently worked as a Cornea and Anterior Segment Specialist at Samsung Medical Center. She previously served as Director of the Vision Correction Center at Nune Eye Hospital (Seoul) and Director of Ophthalmology at Yonsei Plus and Han Do Hospital of the Dae-A Medical Foundation. Notably; Dr. Geum is among only five ophthalmologists in Korea certified as a Smart Smile LASIK surgeon by SCHWIND; the German manufacturer of Smart LASIK technology. She is a full member of the Korean Ophthalmological Society (KOS) and the Korean External Eye Disease Society (KEEDS); and has served in academic director roles with the Korean Ophthalmologists Association and the Severance Ophthalmology Alumni Association.
