Dr. Kohei Yoshioka

Dr. Kohei Yoshioka is one of Japan’s rare and distinguished clinicians, holding board certifications in both Psychiatry and Anesthesiology, a unique qualification that places him among a very small group of practitioners able to deliver advanced cross disciplinary care for mental health conditions, chronic pain, and disorders that are difficult to treat through standard methods. Born in 1985, he earned his medical degree from Fukui University School of Medicine, completed anesthesiology training at Tokyo Jikei University Medical School, and finished psychiatric training at the Psychiatric Medicine Research Institute affiliated with Tokyo Musashino Hospital. His clinical work focuses on neuromodulation therapies including electroconvulsive therapy or ECT and transcranial magnetic stimulation or TMS. He has also pioneered the use of ketamine infusion therapy and the DSR Stellate Ganglion Block, especially for patients with post traumatic stress disorder or treatment resistant depression, positioning him at the forefront of modern psychiatric care. In 2020, he founded comatsuna Inc. to develop digital healthcare solutions, reflecting his vision for personalised, accessible, and technology supported medicine. He also works as an industrial physician for major companies and educational institutions, helping connect occupational health with advanced psychiatric treatment.
